Baul Fakiri Mela 2023 – The annual Baul Fakiri festival held in Bannabagram Baul Ashram from Nov 24th to 26th, 2023. Around 150 Bauls and Fakirs from Nadia, Murshidabad, Birbhum, Bardhaman, and Bankura participated in this three-day festival. The festival was inaugurated by Prof. Sumatra Bose of London School of Economics and Prof. Jayanta Mitra of Essex University, UK along with the leading Baul Fakiri artists. Hundreds of visitors including international guests enjoyed Baul music at different akhras and the mesmerizing performances on the main stage. Also, they got the opportunity to interact with the Baul gurus of Bengal.
